Here I am on the new Sable Harvestmath Horse available from Hengstacer’s Farm for 20 Fall Festival Tokens, a Writ of Ownership (bought for 200 silver) and a Harvestmath Race Token.  The default name is Dock, and again, I haven’t thought of a new name yet.  Its stats are as follows:

Speed: +62% – Morale: 100 – Unable to evade, parry or block.

Here I am on the new Autumnfest Horse available from Hengstacer’s Farm for 20 Fall Festival Tokens, a Writ of Ownership (bought for 200 silver) and a Harvestmath Race Token.  The default name is Trick, I haven’t thought of a new name yet, and its stats are as follows:

Enjoy the festival people and don’t forget, time is running out to get your Steed of the Hunter.

Update 2 Echoes of the Dead is LIVE with two new steeds!

Posted in LotRO Game Updates on March 24, 2011 by calddir

Tons of new content is now live with Update 2 Echoes of the Dead!   Along with new content and some major renovation of the legendary weapon system are two brand new steeds!  The Cremello Steed, also known as the PAX East Steed, is the contest winner of the PAX East LotRO Horse Design Contest.  Currently, there is but one way to have that steed, and that is to have visited the Turbine Booth at the recent PAX East gaming convention.  Quite a nice reward for attending and quite a wonderful design by mother/daughter team GoldRushSE!

The original winning design by GoldRushSE!

Another awesome steed is so new we don’t have a clue as to what it looks like!  The new Prized Ost Dunhoth War-Horse is a new meta-deed steed awarded to the player completing the new meta-deed, “In Your Presence” from the new Update 2 content!  Basically, the deed is completing all the new instances in all modes.  Quite a task!  I wager the steed is well worth the work!

Ride Safe and have fun all!

Angmar Free Folk Steed

Dunedain War Horse

Angmar Free Folk Steed currently has wrong skin and will be repaired soon.

As many of you have already noticed, the Angmar Free Folk
Steed looks identical to the Dunedain War Steed. This was an
error and will be fixed with a new skin in a future update.  LotRO
Online Team member and Senior Designer ‘Orion’ stated in the
official forums:

“This will be fixed! There was a little hiccup in the process of
getting this in the game.  We are in the process of getting the
correct appearance on this horse, but we cannot tell you when
it will be updated. We will make certain that the new
appearance gets into the game as it is not supposed to be a
spitting image of an existing horse appearance.”–Orion
